PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The U4 All Mountain Ski Program is designed to be a fun introduction to skiing. The program is run in combination with the TSC “Kids Corner” and is focused on getting children comfortable on skis. Small instructor to child ratios are maintained to maximize the learning experience and fun!

TSC reserves the right to place registrants on a waiting list when the initial group size limits are filled or cancel the program with too few registrants.

The U6 All Mountain Ski Program lays the foundation for our future skiers.  We spend a great deal of time improving skills through games, fun and adventure ensuring that children are comfortable with their development prior to moving on to more challenging terrain.

The Freestyle Ski Program is open to 8 – 14 year old athletes.  The program is designed for intermediate skiers and above.  The emphasis is to have FUN while working on skill development through guided mileage and lots of skiing on varied terrain in and out of the park.  Freestyle elements are terrain features will be introduced when skiers are ready for bigger challenges.  ​

COMBO SKI & SNOWBOARD PROGRAM​

PROGRAM OVERVIEW​

Why choose between skiing and snowboarding when you can DO IT ALL!  Ski Saturday, Snowboard Sunday.  The Combo program is designed for the intermediate to advanced athlete who wants to ski and snowboard.  Participants will continue to develop strong skiing and boarding skills in a variety of terrain and conditions, which includes gate training.

INSTRUCTOR TRAINING PROGRAM - SKI​

PROGRAM OVERVIEW​

The Instructor in Training Program interfaces directly with TSC instructors and program participants.  This is a “hands on” training program.  Duties include assisting classes on and off the hill, as well as with special events.   ITPs assist with the classes in the morning and then attend a 2 hour session in the afternoon from 12:30pm – 2:30pm with senior instructors on proper technique and teaching methodology.  ​

We offer an Alpine Programs uniform, training session to familiarize participants with the rope tow and chair lift safety, and the program qualifies for 20 OSSD volunteer hours.

The program is designed to prepare participants for the Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance Level 1 Course.  This is not a certification course; however, with strong attendance in the afternoon training sessions, ITPs are generally well equipped to attend the Level 1 course.   The CSIA level 1 age requirement is 14 years old at the time of the course.​

ADULT GROUP SKI LESSONS

PROGRAM OVERVIEW​

Looking for something to do while your children are in programs or just want to get out and meet and ski with other adults? We offer adult group lessons for all levels on Fridays and Saturdays.  Friday lessons are offered for 7 weeks but if you can’t commit to all, we offer a flexible 4 session rate that allows you to pick 4 Fridays that work for you. 

PROGRAM LEVELS​

BEGINNER: This program is for the total beginner skier looking to try the sport out. The class size will be small to allow for more individual attention and faster learning. Don’t be shy, give it a try! Our patient and knowledgeable instructors will get you sliding in no time.​

NOVICE: This program is for the adult skier looking to improve their skiing skills. Participants should be able to fully stop, as well as turn left and right.​

INTERMEDIATE: This program is for the skier looking to break through to the advanced level. Join a group to ski all the various terrain across Blue Mountain while advancing your technique.​

ADVANCED: This program is for the advanced skier looking to hone in on their skills.  Skiers must be strong parallel skiers on Blue and Black runs.​

WOMEN ONLY SKI LESSONS​

These ski sessions are offered for beginner, novice, intermediate and advanced levels. The program is designed for the skier looking to improve not only their skiing skills, but build their confidence in a supportive and social environment.​
