Mentoring Programs at TSC

Interested in advancing your CSIA or CSC certification levels or becoming a Certified Entry Level Coach?  Check out Toronto Ski Club’s Mentoring Programs

COACH MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

TSC is here to support you every step of the way.  After completing the AOA Entry Level Coaching Course, you are trained to work at TSC in the Alpine Department. To progress from Trained Entry Level to Certified Entry Level coach status, you must complete a mentorship program over one season under the guidance of a CSC Performance Level Course Conductor.

Toronto Ski Club is proud to have Richard Vendrig, on staff to mentor our aspiring coaches. Richard has been coaching for almost 50 years and brings a wealth of experience to help guide new coaches. He is also an entry and development level course facilitator. This allows TSC to mentor not only EL coaches to the certified level, but also those preparing to move up to the DL level.

The Mentorship Program Includes:
  • One-on-one guidance and feedback from an experienced CSC Course Conductor
  • On-snow coaching opportunities and technical skill development
  • Regular evaluations and support to track your progress
  • Goal setting and personalized development plans
  • Real-time coaching scenarios to build confidence and expertise
  • Access to exclusive TSC coach development sessions and resources
Whether you're starting your coaching journey or looking to move up the ranks, TSC provides the environment, expertise, and encouragement to help you succeed.

TSC will also help finance advancing your coaching certifications. If you successfully complete an upgrade to your current certification within the ski season, TSC will pay half of the course fees in April of that year and the second half the following year if you return to work for another full season.
